Bruce Heen: Accountant with Passion for Sports

Bruce Heen has led a very active lifestyle. He has worked hard to grow his career as a professional in the insurance industry, but he has also enjoyed being active one way or another with sports. Looking at Bruce Heen’s professional side, you see a man dedicated to his career. He has moved several times in his life to pursue a better position for himself and his family. He started off as a teacher in North Dakota before switching to accounting.
His first accounting position was in Wisconsin before he moved to Georgia in 1982. He held the position of Life Insurance Financial Reporting Manager for Union Security Insurance Company in 1985. After several promotions and switching companies, Bruce Heen took his most current position with Protective Life Insurance Company where he holds the title Vice President for the Life and Annuity Business Planning and Analysis Department.
But there is more to Bruce Heen than a focused businessman. He also enjoys sports and has been involved multiple ways throughout his life. In the 1970’s, Bruce Heen played Softball and was the coach of two different teams. He was Head Coach of Devils Lake, North Dakota American Legion Baseball Team and Assistant Varsity Hockey Coach.
In the early 1980’s, after moving to Georgia, Bruce Heen became a member of Knollwood Athletic and Social Association in Norcross, Georgia.  He was the Social Chairman for the Knollwood Athletic and Social Club in Atlanta, Georgia from 1986 to 1988. Bruce Heen also enjoyed then as he does today, watching professional sports. While living in Atlanta, he was a season ticket holder for the Atlanta Falcons.
Today, Bruce Heen is busy with his career but he still enjoys golfing when he finds the time. He also loves to travel. When he travels, he enjoys sport fishing. The biggest highlight of his sport fishing hobby was catching a 25 to 30 pound Northern Pike in Manitoba, Canada.
